I. Course Code : TLE 212
II. Course Title: Introduction to ICT Specialization II
III. Credit Units: 3 units (3 hours lecture, 2 hours laboratory)
IV. Course Description:
This is a 3-unit introductory course that explores the basic knowledge and
skills and values in the use of technology for teaching and learning. This course
includes ICT policies and safety issues, media and technology in various content
areas, learning theories, and principles in the use and design of learning lessons,
teaching-learning experiences and assessment tasks that utilize appropriate
traditional and innovative technologies with social, ethical, and legal responsibility.

OBJECTIVES OF BTLE PROGRAM
The BTLE graduates have the ability
to:
1.Articulate and discus the latest
developments in the specific filed of
practice (PQF level 6 descriptor);
2.Effectively communicate orally and
in writing using both English and
Filipino;
3.Work effectively and independently
in multi-disciplinary and multi-
cultural teams(PQF level 6
descriptor)
4.Act in recognition of professional,
social, and ethical, responsibility;
and
5.Preserve and promote “Filipino
Historical and Cultural Heritage”
(based on RA7722)
V. Course Outcomes:
1.to explain ICT policies and safety issues as they impact on the
teaching-learning process;
2.to identify learning theories and principles applied in the
design and development of lessons through appropriate
media and technologies of teaching;
3.to integrate media and technology iin various content areas;
4.to formulate teaching-learning experiences and assessment
tasks using appropriate and innovative technologies;
5.to demonstrate social, ethical, and legal responsibility in the
use of technology tools and resources.
VI.Grading System
Midterm Grade = 1/3 Midterm Exam + 1/3 Class Standing + 1/3 Lab
Tentative FG = 1/3 Final Exam + 1/3 Class Standing + 1/3 Lab
Final Grade = 1/3 Midterm Grade + 2/3 TFG
