Gardening is the practice of growing plants for their fruits, vegetables, flowers, herbs, and appearance in a designated area. It can be considered both an art and science. Some people grow plants outdoors in the soil, while others grow them in pots or containers on their balcony or patio.

Gardening can be beneficial to both physical and mental health. It's a form of exercise that uses every major muscle group .

Urban gardening is the practice of growing plants, fruits, and vegetables in cities or towns. It can take many forms, including rooftop gardens, vertical gardens, community gardens, and guerrilla gardening. Urban gardens can come in all shapes and sizes, and don't require a huge amount of land Urban gardening

TIPS FOR GROWING VEGETABLES ON ROOF TOP Selection of site: Where we get plenty of sunlight. Proper drainage facilities. Moisture protection: Spread over the 4 x 4 mts polythene sheet on the floor to avoid wetting of the floor.

SOWING DIRECT SOWING: Bhendi , Cluster bean, Bush Lab-lab, Raddish are directly sown in the growing medium. Pressed by the finger TRANSPLANTING Brinjal , Tomatoes and Chillies etc are should be raised in protrays . Transplanted in the poly bags. 30-35 days to be eligible for transplantation.
