INTROD1 is suitable for individuals whose practice
enables them to evidence someDimensions.
Effectivenessof practice in teaching and/or
support of learning is demonstrated through
evidence of:
D1.1Use ofappropriate Professional Values,
including at least V1 and V3.
D1.2Application of appropriate Core Knowledge,
including at least K1, K2 and K3.
D1.3Effective and inclusive practicein at least two
of the five Areas of Activity.
D2: Fellow.
INTROD2 is suitable for individuals whose practice with
learners has breadth and depth, enabling them to
evidence all Dimensions. Effectiveness of practice
in teaching and/or support of high-quality learning
is demonstrated through evidence of:
D2.1
Use ofall five Professional Values.
D2.2 Applicationof all five forms of Core Knowledge.
D2.3 Effective and inclusive practicein all five Areas of
Activity.
Descriptor 1 (Associate Fellow):
Suitable for individuals whose practice enables them to evidence
some Dimensions. Effectivenessof practice in teaching and/or
support of learning is demonstrated through evidence of:
D1.1: use of appropriate Professional Values, including at least V1 and V3.
D1.2: applicationof appropriate Core Knowledge, including at least K1, K2 and K3.
D1.3: effective and inclusive practice in at least two of the five Areas of Activity.
Requirements for Associate Fellowship
•The overall word limit for the Associate Fellow Reflective Narrative is 1,400
words plus citations (200 words); overall maximum 1,600 words. Please
note that the Advance HE online system will not exceed this limit.
•700 words per example
•Max 1 -2 examples
•Across the 1,400 words of your Reflective Narrative, two Areas of Activity,
Professional Values at least V1 and V3, Core Knowledge at least K1, K2
and K3.
•Your application for Associate Fellowship must be endorsed by a
Supporting Statement from a referee.
Descriptor 2 (Fellow):
Suitable for individuals whose practice with learners has breadth and depth,
enabling them to evidence all Dimensions. Effectiveness of practice in
teaching and/or support of high-quality learning is demonstrated through
evidence of:
D2.1: useof all five Professional Values.
D2.2: applicationof all five forms of Core Knowledge.
D2.3: effective and inclusive practice in all five Areas of Activity.
Requirements of Fellowship
•A Context Statement (up to 300 words) introduce yourself and
outline your role(s) and responsibilities in teaching in higher
education.
•The overall word limit for the Reflective Narrative is 3,000 words
plus citations (500 words); overall maximum 3,500 words.
•600 words for A1 to A5
•Max 1-2 examples to ensure depth
•Your application for Fellowship must be endorsed by two
Supporting Statements from referees.
