Sustainable Development Sustainable development is the organizing principle for meeting human development goals while simultaneously sustaining the ability of natural systems to provide the natural resources and ecosystem services based upon which the economy and society depend. The desired result is a state of society where living conditions and resources are used to continue to meet human needs without undermining the integrity and stability of the natural system. Sustainable development can be defined as development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.
Sustainable Development and India Sustainable development in India encompasses a variety of development schemes in social, cleantech (clean energy, clean water and sustainable agriculture) and human resources segments, having caught the attention of both Central and State governments and also public and private sectors. In fact, India is expected to begin the greening of its national income accounting, making depletion in natural resources wealth a key component in its measurement of gross domestic product (GDP).
The Three Pillars of Sustainability Economic Development Economic Development is programs, policies or activities that seek to improve the economic well-being and quality of life for a community. Social development Social development is about improving the well-being of every individual in society so they can reach their full potential. The success of society is linked to the well-being of each and every citizen. Environmental protection Environmental protection is the practice of protecting the natural environment by individuals, groups and governments. Its objectives are to conserve natural resources and the existing natural environment and, where it is possible, to repair damage and reverse trends.

Goal 17: Partnerships to Achieve the Goal: Strengthen the means of implementation and revitalize the global partnership for sustainable development.
Goal-3 : Health And Well-Being Introduction - A clean environment is essential for human health and well-being. On the other hand , air and water pollution as well as poor management of hazardous chemicals and waste contribute to undermine health. Natural disasters and environmental shocks can have substantial impact on health, including deaths, disabilities problems and other indirect effects with damage to health facilities and disruption to the delivery of health services over extended periods of time.
It’s AIM By 2030 substantially reduce the number of deaths and illness from hazardous chemicals and air , water and soil pollution and contamination.
How AI help in achiveing SDG 3? By enabling smart grids that partially match energy demand to periods when the sun is shining, and the wind is blowing, AI can also help to integrate variable renewables . Advanced AI technologies, research, and product creation may necessitate vast computer resources only available in substantial computing centres . The development of AI is influencing a growing number of industries. It is anticipated that AI will have immediate and long-term effects on various factors, including but not limited to global productivity, equality and inclusion, environmental impacts, and others.
Conclusion Economic development achieved so far has adopted various techniques which have proved harmfull for the environment in which we reside in…. The crying is need is for sustainable development which aims at development which does not have a negative impact on the environment. At the core of idea of sustainability is the matter of meeting people’s need for home , job etc. If we donot take care of the environment in which we live now, we won’t have anything to leave behind us for future generations
