5. How these are constructed ?
Steel Frames and covered with
galvanised iron sheets.
This may be of single hanger to
store large number of aircrafts.
Depends on peak hour volume of
aircrafts and their demand on
rental basis by different airline
agencies.

6. It also depends on size of aircraft as follows
For bigger aircrafts such as Airbus
A380,Antonov 225 and Boeing 747 comes
under XXL size.

Proximity to the loading aprons.
Far from the direction of frequent storms
to prevent damage of structures.
Proximity to and easy installation of

supply and sewers etc.

parking facilities for working
personnel.
Topography providing good
natural drainage.
Future expansion facilities

9. Planning Considerations
Storage and service hangers occupy
more space of Terminal area.
Shape of hanger should cover minimum
land area and provide adequate space
for storage.
For small aircrafts , T-shaped hanger is
most desirable and economic design

11. Its important to observe that the area
should be large to accommodate different
aircrafts.
Minimum clearance of 0.30 meters.
For bigger aircrafts –nose hangers are
provided
where, front part of aircraft is covered
back portion was exposed
This is economical and maintenance work
will be easy.
