Analysis of how research (Evian/Lucozade) has been used to create Vesi adverts
Throughout this project and creating my adverts to do with my chosen idea. Researching Evian and Lucozade has allowed me to use them or certain features of them to create my adverts. For example, I used the idea from Evian’s “Live Young” campaign; where in the TV advert there are multiple bottles of Evian water around the entire advert. This has inspired my print advert, which has got empty bottles of Vesi water littered around the gamer’s bedroom. I chose this because you get that constant product placement, while also showing how good Vesi water is because the gamer has chosen that over other regular drinks brands. Another example is with Lucozade’s “Energy Beats Everything” campaign I used the idea with the its TV advert having the narrator at the end saying the slogan in time with the ending sound effect/ music. This inspired me to make the slogan for my Radio advert have a slight jingle to is by having my model do a tiny song with it. Another example is with Lucozade’s “Energy Beats Everything” campaign is that the scenario of their campaign, and the scenario with my campaign are targeted at specific group of people (not as much as Lucozade’s, but still quite specific), which is teenagers/ late teenagers to early 30s. Another example is with Evian’s “Live Young” campaign, we are both promoting water, which then both allows us to talk about/ imply obvious health benefits. A final example is with Lucozade’s “Energy Beats Everything” campaign where Lucozade don’t specifically say “this drink will give you energy”, but instead implies it, with the scene where David drank a bottle of Lucozade, and he woke up more and his hair fixed itself, so he is ready to take on Goliath. With my idea I don’t say “Vesi water will re-hydrate, re-energize and re-balance yourself”, however I imply it when the gamer drinks some Vesi water and he then starts playing the video game and starts to win, its also show with the Radio advert where all the gaming sound effects in the beginning are either completely gone or much quieter and more manageable.
