PURPOSE & BENEFITS OF CONDUCTING SLIP/TRIP/FALL CAMPAIGN Our campaign focuses on the effects that an injury can have on your personal life outside of work, as well as emphasising that better hazard perception and awareness of your surroundings can prevent a slip, trip or fall.    We aim to promote safe and proactive behaviours , to prevent accidents before they have the opportunity to arise.  It’s important we all take time to pause and think before we act.

4. Safety Pause ACCIDENT DETAILS REPORT OF OTHERS On 7 th June 2021the injured person was descending from the 9m floor next to the ld#2 ramp from the stairs leading to the desulfurization area. He put his foot on the ground floor after he got down from all steps of the ladder. His heel twisted while keeping his right foot on the ground. On feeling pain on his right leg, He went to west plant first aid center. LEARNING FROM INCIDENT:- Due to the landing point Accident take placed that’s Why we have taken learning from the accident that all the landing areas to be identified & closed. Implementation by M/S. New Vishal Engineering & Co: We had identified a landing point which is in unsafe condition at Pellet Plant, area which could have caused accident/incident.

5. SLIP loss of balance caused by too little friction between a person’s foot and a walking surface. Common Causes: Wet or oily surfaces, Occasional spills, Weather hazards, Loose, unanchored rugs or mats, and Flooring or other walking surfaces that are worn.

6. TRIP A trip occurs when a person’s foot contacts an object in their way or drops to a lower level unexpectedly, causing them to be thrown off-balance. Common Causes: Obstructed view Poor lighting Clutter in your way Wrinkled carpeting Uncovered cables Drawers not being closed Uneven (steps, thresholds) walking surfaces

7. FALL A fall occurs when you are too far off balance. Common Causes: Falls on the same level Slip or trip immediately precedes fall to floor or walkway Falls to lower level Falls are from platforms, docks, ladders, steps or stairs Jumps to lower level An intentional jump from one level to another Employee jumps off ladder, dock, equipment

IMPROVEMENTS AFTER CONDUCTING SLIP/TRIP/FALL CAMPAIGN There are various factors that contribute to the risk of slips/Trip/Fall usually occur when there is a loss of grip between the shoe and the floor are noticed and removed/repair on immediate basis.  little  slip  at work can have a big impact on our life. ... Workers are now able to maintain their balance when  performing  tasks  and  be able to recover if they  slip/Trip/Fall
