Architectural presentation board of omah batik, Omah Batik is a Batik Sukun preservation area, as a forum for community activities to preserve local culture with production, education and introducing Batik Sukun to the wider community.

Every place must have its own identity that distinguishes it from other regions. This identity can be in the form of culture and if the culture is not properly preserved it will simply disappear, and the area can lose its identity.

Sukun, is one of the sub-districts in Malang city that has a cultural object in the form of batik with Sukun motifs. Unfortunately, many people do not recognise the batik because the marketing of production to the outside is still not massive because batik production is limited to home industries. So it is unfortunate if the identity of the Sukun sub-district will gradually become unknown to the next generation.

In order for the batik cultural heritage to remain, it needs to be preserved by providing facilities in the form of a batik preservation area that can accommodate community activities in preserving it.
