Basic strokes are important for drawing to develop art skills, construct
knowledge and cultivate positive values and attitudes, gain delight
enjoyment and satisfaction through participating in arts activities and
pursue a lifelong interest in the arts. It ensures that the student learns to draw
or write letters using the correct sequence of strokes right from the start.
