AUDIO AMPLIFIER USING IC 810 OR EQUIVALENT
CONTENTS COURSE OUTCOMES INTRODUCTION COMPONET LIST PIN CONFIGURATION CIRCUIT DIAGRAM WORKING OF CIRCUIT ADVANTAGES & DISADVANTAGES APPLICATION
COURSE OUTCOMES Build test the performance of audio amplifier To apply the knowledge of making the audio amplifier by using IC TBA810 We understand the concept of audio amplifier We understand the circuit of audio amplifier for low as well as high frequency Analysing the audio amplifier by testing the experience
INTRODUCTION It is a audio power amplifier or (power amplifier) is an electronic amplifier that amplifier low power electronic audio signal radio receiver or electric guitar pick up to the level that is high enough for driving loud speaker , head phone , audio power amplifier are found in all manner of sound systems including sound public address & home audio system & musical instrument amplifier like guitar amplifier it is the final electronic stage in atypical audio playback chain before the signal is sent to the loudspeaker.
WORKING & CONSTRUCTION Audio signal input given to the non inverting pin 8 of TBA 810 IC through volume control variable resistor VR1 and output is taken out from pin 12 and other pins are filled up with Resistor and capacitor components. Tabs both side in IC are grounded and IC can be covered with heat sink, After completing the construction of circuit choose power supply depends on required output power. Thus this circuit gives 1 watt output for 4 to 6V and 7 watt output for 16V bias, and it produce better output from 40Hz to 20KHz (-3dB) frequency input.
ADVANTAGE & DISADVANTAGES ADVANTAGES Linear behaviour Hi-FI quality sound Simpler design Still pretty simple & basic DISADVANTAGES Power dissipation (which generates heat & required large heatsinks) Typically more expensive than single supply amplifier The design tends to be much more complex Low power efficiency have an average efficiency of less than 50%
APPLICATION Audio amplifier uses car AUX input, cell phone amplifier ,DVD players, earbuds , GPS audio, Headphone amplifier, hearing amplifier ,iPads laptops, motorcycle audio,MP3 players, PC audio, Race Scanners, satellite Ratio, tablet travel amplifier, TV listening ,wireless headphone etc. Important applications include public address system, theatrical & concert sound reinforcement , & domestic sound systems such as a stereo or home-theatre system instrument amplifiers including guitar amplifier.
