2. Aspergillus flavus On SDA: Velvetty yellow to brown colonies On LPCB mount: Septate hyphae , phialides cover the entire vesicle.
3. Aspergillus fumigatus On SDA: Smoky green colonies On LPCB mount: Septate hyphae , Smoky conidiophores. Phialides are uniseriate and cover the upper half of the vesicle
4. Aspergillus niger On SDA: Wooly, white to yellow and become brown to black. On LPCB mount: Septate hyphae , Smoky conidiophores. Phialides are biseriate, covers the entire vesicle. Conidia are black.
5. Penicillium spp. On SDA: Velvetty white, later become powdery blue-green colonies. On LPCB mount: Septate hyphae, Metullae gives rise to conidium Brush bottle appearance
6. Mucor On SDA: Cottony (fluffy appearance) and pure white colonies. On LPCB mount: Aseptate hyphae(broad), Rhizoids are absent Sporangium contains sporangiophores.
7. Rhizopus On SDA: Cottony grey white colony, later becomes brown black. On LPCB mount: Aseptate hyphae. Rhizoids are seen below the sporangiophores. Sporangiophore with distinct columella
