3. Science in Bengali! What rubbish! Why bother with that search? There is not much out there. Regional languages are dead. Can we agree on that?

4. Bigyan (bigyan.org.in) is a premier medium to popularize science in Bengali.

5. Bigyan started its journey in 2014 on National Science Day (28 th February).

6. Since then, the website has published 300 + popular science articles!

11. Who is `Bigyan’ for? Students ,... Teachers, ... Science lovers of every age , .... Anyone who wants to be aware of current trends in science.

12. Page views of Bigyan have crossed 1.45 million!

13. Readers of Bigyan are all over the world but mainly in West Bengal, Tripura and Bangladesh.

14. Not only online articles, we also started podcasts, … Wherever our learners are, we go with them.

17. Not only online articles, we also started print magazines. Wherever our learners are, we go with them.

18. The workshops were organized in collaboration with the Indian Association of Physics Teachers (IAPT) and Contai Science Academy (CSA) We have also organized workshops to promote critical thinking and hands-on activities in classrooms.

19. In collaboration with high school teachers in India, we have tried to promote education research based pedagogy , such as real time feedback using clickers.

20. In this quest to spread science, we have received help from many friends in Bengal…

21. To maintain this enormous repertoire of activities, we have taken help of some freelancers in India: writers, editors, artists, video creators.

22. We have also revamped the Bigyan website in 2022.
