DEFINE ENVIRONMENT Environment is everything that is around us. It can be living or non-living things. It includes physical, chemical and other natural forces. Living things live in their environment . They constantly interact with it and adapt themselves to conditions in their environment . BASIC TYPES OF ENVIRONMENT Natural Environment is the sum total of all surroundings of a living organism , including natural forces and other living things , which provide conditions for development and growth as well as of danger and damage Social Environment is the aggregate of social and cultural institutions, forms, patterns, and processes that influence the life of an individual or community.
BE DELICATE TO ENVIRONMENT, JUST LIKE YOU CARE FOR YOUR FAMILY, BECAUSE, WHEN YOU VIOLATE THE ENVIRONMENT, IT DISTURB SOME SPECIE FAMILY.
WHAT IS ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE? INTRODUCTION : It is an interdisciplinary field interdisciplinary field that incorporates physics, biology, chemistry, ecology, botany, zoology and geology. Environmental scientists work on subjects like the understanding of earth processes evaluating alternative energy systems pollution control natural resource management effects of global climate change
DEFINITION : GENERAL “ Environmental science is the study of living organisms and how they interact with our environment ” NATURAL SCIENCE “ The integrated study of factors that influence the environment and environmental systems, especially the interaction of the physical , chemical , and biological components of the environment ”
BENEFITS : It help us to get knowledge how to conserve environment and its resources It teach us to develop and maintain a sustainable world It support to explore environmental secrets It lead us how to consume the environmental resources It communicate us how a human can control its unintended fierceness on environment
BIOLOGICAL ASPECTS OF ENVIRONMENT
BIOLOGICAL ENVIRONMENT DEFINITION : “ The natural biological factors (such as wild animals and plants or bacteria) that affect human life as in a particular place or period ” COMPONENT : Component of biological environments are: Animals Plants Micro species
MAJOR CONCEPT OF BIOLOGICAL ENVIRONMENT BIODIVERSITY : The variety of plant and animal life in the world or in a particular habitant, a high level of which is usually considered to be important and desirable A healthy biodiversity provides a number of natural services for everyone such as: Contribution to climate stability Biological resources such as; food, medical resources, wood products, and ornamental plants Social benefits such as recreation and tourism, and cultural values
BIOLOGICAL ENVIRONMENT FACTOR BIOTIC FACTORS : Any living component that affects another organism, or shapes the ecosystem Includes animals that consume organisms within their ecosystem, and the organism that is being consumed It also includes human influence, pathogens, and disease outbreak There are three main biotic component: Producer Consumer Decomposer
ABIOTIC FATORS : Any non-living chemical and physical parts of the environment that affect living organisms It includes physical conditioning and non living resources that affect living organisms in terms of growth, maintenance and reproduction EXAMPLE : Five abiotic factors are: Temperature wind water atmosphere chemical elements
BIOLOGICAL ISSUES I N ENVIRONENT DEFORESTATION : Deforestation is the removal of a forest or stand of trees where the land is thereafter converted to a non-forest use Causes of deforestation are: To make more land available for housing and urbanization To create ingredients that are highly prized consumer items, such as the oil from palm trees An ethical cause is forest mafia, who cut trees and smuggle them
Hindrances of deforestation are: It leaves a scar on the environment It contributes to the problem of climate change It causes soil erosion . It affects the water cycle It also destruct the habitant of birds Figures of deforestation The Earth loses 18.7 million acres of forests per year, which is equal to 27 soccer fields every minute, according to the World Wildlife Fund (WWF )
FORESTATION STATISTICS
EXTINCTION : E xtinction is the termination of an organism or of a group of organisms, normally a species Causes of extinction are: Over hunting of species Drastic climatic change Over pollution in nature Poor handling of forestry
Drawbacks of extinction are: We will never see that organism again. Some plants hold medicines and if that plant becomes extinct lots of people will get sick and some can die. If a species becomes extinct it can effect the whole live cycle Example of extinction: Indian tigers are extinct now in Pakistan Markhor the national animal of Pakistan in considered in endangered species, which is expected to be extinct
CONCLUSION WE SHOULD CONSERVE THE BIOLOGICAL RESOURCES TO LIVE A SUSTAINABLE LIFE BIOLOGICAL ABNOMALITIES AND ISSUES OF BIOLOGICAL FACTORS CAUSES DISTURBANCE IN SMOOTH RUNNING OF WORLD WE SHOULD CONSUME BIOLOGICAL RESOURCES BUT MULTIPLY THEM AND MAKE IT FRUITFUL FOR OUR OFFSPRING
