Elsa Schiaparelli was born in Rome in 1890 to a religious family.
She was the founder of “HOUSE OF SCHIAPARELLI” in 1927 present day
known as “MAISON SCHIAPARELLI”
She was renowned for blending surrealist art with
fashion.
Elsa Schiaparelli instilled a creative spirit in 20th-century fashion with her
inventive imagination and revolutionary vision .
Her iconic collaborations with artists like Dalí, Cocteau, Man Ray,
Giacometti and Marcel Vertès became legendary.

first trompe l’œil motif on a
hand-knit sweater for

Like Schiaparelli herself, who was known for her technical innovations, Roseberry is particularly interested in experimenting with new or unlikely
fabrics, and exploding the idea of what couture can--or should--be.
Daniel Roseberry was born in 1985 in Plano, Texas.
During his tenure, Roseberry has become known for resurrecting some of the Maison’s most beloved and influential codes and iconography, while
paying homage to its founder, Elsa Schiaparelli's love of Surrealism;

created a strong value contrast against the
reflective gold of the necklace.

contrasting against the smooth velvet
texture of the gown.
MOVEMENT: The placement of the lion’s
head and the streamlined silhouette of the
gown guide the eye from the top to down .
COLOR: black color that acts as a
backdrop, allowing the lion’s head to stand
out.
SPACE: The minimalist cut of the gown
creates a blank canvas for lion head.
