BLACK TIP OR NECROSIS OF MANGO Occurred in UP, Punjab, Bihar and W. Bengal Not occurred in South India Prevalent near brick links Affect till 90% fruits

Symptoms Appear after 6-8 weeks old fruits or at ripening stage Necrosis on tip of fruits Tip become black & flat Inner portion of tip become soft, rottened & secretion of dark brown liquid

Causes of disease Caused by SO 2 , CO 2 & Acetylene gases released from brick links Disease is more prevalent near bricks links

Disease Management Spray Borax @ 3-4 kg/500 lit. water. I&II Spray – flowering stage III Spray – fruiting stage No brink links should be near garden Chimney should be 15-18 Meter height Distance of Planting of new garden trees East West - 1.6 Km North south – 0.8 Km Covering of mango plants with cellophane bags rescue from brick links smoke.
