What is bmi? BMI - Body Mass Index BMI = weight (kg) / height (cm 2 ) Estimation of body fat, according to WHO (World Health Organization) Used to identify the risk for certain diseases

In clinical practice Equipment required: height and weight measuring scales, calculator Steps: Informed consent from patient Ask patient to remove shoes, heavy clothing and head wear Place the scales on firm surface and ask the patient to stand straight against it. Take note of measurements. Conversion (if needed) Calculate and document results
