P rocedure STEP 1 A little of substance is added to 3ml of Borsche’s reagent.

STEP 2 The substance is boiled.

STEP 3 Concentrated HCl is added
Slide 7
STEP 4 The solution is cooled and add a small amount of water.

O bservation ORANGE PRECIPITATE IS FORMED
