SOCIETY   OF   INTEGRATED COASTAL MANAGEMENT (SICOM) has been established under the aegis of the Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate change, Government of India with a vision for vibrant, healthy and resilient  Coastal  and Marine Environment for continuous and enhanced outflow of benefits to the Country Sicom had awarded 3 blue flag beaches to BVG Rushikonda (Vishakhapatnam) Golden beach ( Puri ) Radhanagar (Andaman Nikobar ) Sunapur Beach (Odisha) Tannirbhavi Beach (Karnataka)

14. BLUE FLAG PROJECT INTRODUCTION The Blue Flag is a certification by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE) for a beach, marina or boating tourism. Its Trade- Mark is owned by FEE, functional in 60 countries in Europe, Africa, Oceana, Asia and America. Its Certificates are awarded by FEE annually Arrival of blue flag categorization of beaches in India is a welcome move. For too long now our beaches have been exploited for the benefit of the community, tourists and visitors. Prestigious Blue flag was awarded to our golden beach on 11 th October 2020. It is one among and Best blue flag beach in India out of 8 certified Beaches. MAIN OBJECTIVE Our aspirations are to make our coastal systems more inclusive with infrastructure, Beach safety centers and greater awareness among public in the ways of the sea and surf. Due to lack of development of safety systems on most beaches in India, there have been frequent drowning causalities, usually involving the young and uninformed. The Blue Flag criteria fulfills a long standing requirement to make our beaches clean, safe and environment friendly, complete with a modern system of surveillance and safety cover. It is only then that we can enjoy then the environment in and around the sea like done elsewhere in the world.

15. BLUE FLAG PROJECT 33 CRITERIA   BLUE FLAG has very stringent 33 criteria to be complied based on which a beach is certified and permitted to hoist their flag in these beaches Environmental Education (06) Environmental Management (15) Safety and Security (07) Water Quality (05) AWARD OF CONTRACT TO BVG INDIA LIMITED BVG was awarded three beaches by SICOM in the Year 2018 Golden Beach ( Puri ), Rushikonda Beach (Andhra Pradesh) and Radhanagar beach (Andaman). We have successfully executed project in all three beaches in order to achieve Blue Flag certification. We are proud that as per LOA we had started all services from 1st January 2020 at Radhanagar beach. As promised to SICOM we had executed the project within record time of three months in order to achieve Blue Flag. We as a company and team understand the importance of Blue Flag and its 33 criteria

16. THREE BEACHES DEVELOPED AND MAINTAINED BY BVG FOR BLUE FLAG PROJECT RADHA NAGAR BEACH GOLDEN BEACH PURI RUSHIKONDA BEACH

SYNOPSYS OF PURI GOLDEN BEACH – BLUE FLAG PROJECT The project was awarded to BVG on 23.07.2018 by SICOM Initially Chandra Baga Beach was allotted subsequently the beach was changed from Chandra Baga beach to Golden Beach First layout approval for Golden Beach was given on 13.06.2019 Project started at Puri on dated 15.06.2019 Soil data report was generated on 15.06.2019 Pollution abatement services and Infrastructure development activity were started from 16.06.2018 onwards. Main Purpose was to maintain the cleanliness of allotted 650Mtr Beach area. 26 Nos manpower have engaged for beach cleaning & 2 sand cleaning machines are also using for cleaning purpose. Maintain the extra area of golden Beach Prestigious Blue flag was awarded to our golden beach on 11 th October 2020. It is one among and Best blue flag beach in India out of 8 certified Beaches In August 2021, Beach Management committee has awarded us the Maintenance of Golden Beach. This one year was successfully completed without any incidents and issues. With our committed work and set procedures, we are able to retain back THE BLUE FLAG certification of our Golden Beach.

18. SYNOPSYS OF PURI GOLDEN BEACH – BLUE FLAG PROJECT This year, on 21 st June 2022, Jury has visited the our beach for recertification of Blue Flag status and they had said that, “They had never seen such natural scene at the Beach any where in the world.” Below is the token of appreciation from SICOM Delhi representatives.
