TRIVIA
• Camp Half-Blood’s Mailing Address is:
Camp Half-Blood
Half-Blood Hill
Farm Road 3.141
Long Island, NY 11954
• Camp Half-Blood is always in the East because in ancient
times, the Greeks existed in the Eastern part of the Roman
empire.
• The camp actually grows strawberries to pay for their ex-
penses, and campers are responsible for picking strawber-
ries as part of their regular duties.
• Due to the magical barrier protecting camp, weather like
rain and snow only happen inside of the camp borders if
desired by the camp director.
• When campers get close to adult age, they leave camp and
do their best to lead a life in the real world.
• The only mortal allowed in camp is Rachel Elizabeth Dare,
the current host of the Oracle of Delphi.
• The camp store is filled with camp memorabilia, available
for purchase, including t-shirts, toothbrushes, windchimes,
sprouting trees, packs of Mythomagic cards, and tote bags.
Why am I here?
Welcome, young demigod, to Camp Half-Blood! Have you spent
your life running from disaster? Disaster that people around you
don’t always notice? Maybe you are dyslexic? Diagnosed with
ADHD? Have a special skill that doesn’t seem possible? Just don’t
seem to quite fit in with your peers?
You’ve been identified as a demigod or half-blood. You are a
descendant of a Greek god or goddess. (Exactly how that happened
is something to talk to your parents or caregivers about.)
As a demigod, you have certain special skills that will vary based on
your godly parent. But, those skills come at a price—just like the
Greek gods have survived centuries, Greek monsters have too, and
they are hungry for half-bloods.
Camp Half-Blood is the only safe place for young demigods (well,
almost the only safe place). Our
camp’s magical borders are protected
by the Golden Fleece, ensuring that no
monster can enter camp. While you
are with us, you will train for the time
you spend with your families, at
school, or just generally living away
from camp.
We look forward to helping you figure
out where you belong and training you
for a (hopefully) long and happy
future.
CAMP HISTORY
Camp Half-Blood has existed in some shape since Ancient Greece.
Back in Ancient Greece, Apollo brought six demigod students to
Chiron to train:
• Aeneas: fighter of Troy in the Trojan War
• Jason: captured the Argo
• Achilles: dipped in the river Styx
• Atalanta: renowned Huntress
• Asclepius: Apollo’s son who became the God of Medicine
• Perseus: killer of Medusa
Camp Half-Blood began in Ancient Greece at Chiron’s home at the
foot of Mount Pelion. Due to an increase in the numbers of young
demigods, the camp grew, and it was moved to the base of Mount
Olympus. Through the centuries, Camp Half-Blood has moved
with Mount Olympus to the core of Western Civilization, settling
most recently in Montauk at the end of Long Island.
Originally, camp was much more dangerous. Monsters would
regularly storm the camp, but after the camp was almost wiped out
due to a particularly large monster army, the gods granted Camp
Half-Blood magical borders that have helped prevent a majority of
monster interlopers from crossing the camp’s borders, though the
strength of this god-provided magical border has waned over time.
Currently, Camp Half-Blood is hidden from mortals using the mist
as well as its cover identity as Delphi Strawberry Service.
NOTABLE CAMPERS
There have been hundreds of campers over the decades, but new campers
should be able to recognize some of the most recent campers who made a
name for themselves, often due to their heroic deeds.

CAMP STAFF
Dionysus, God of Wine
Camp Director
Dionysus serves as the unwilling camp director,
sentenced to assist the camp by Zeus as punish-
ment for chasing an off-limits nymph. As part of
his punishment, he is not allowed to drink wine.
While Dionysus was initially sentenced to 100
years as camp director, his term was shortened to
fifty years after the Second Titan War.
Chiron, Trainer of Heroes
Activities Director
An immortal centaur, Chiron has been training
heroes since Ancient Greece. Chiron acts as a
father figure to many campers, showing
remarkable patience with his students. Unlike all
other centaurs, he is exceptionally wise,
intelligent, civilized, and kind.
Argus
Security
Created by Hera, this one-hundred-eyed giant
acts as security for the camp, performing duties
such as driving campers to the start of their
quests, enforcing curfew, and protecting the
camp’s borders. He is protective of Hera.

CAMP RULES
There are many camp rules, some made up on the spot by
Dionysus when he is in a particularly foul mood.
The following are generally enforced:
1. Don’t leave camp without permission.
2. No letting in or summoning monsters on camp
grounds. Only friendly creatures are welcome.
3. Don’t maim or kill another camper.
4. Don’t enter the forest without a buddy and a weapon.
5. You must sleep in your assigned cabin.
6. You must also eat at your assigned dining table. No
switching.
7. Campers must be in their cabins, with the lights off, at
11 pm.
8. Children of Hecate are not permitted to use magic,
especially dark magic, against other campers.
9. Do your best not to die.
CAPTURE THE FLAG
Every Friday evening, campers play an elaborate game of
Capture the Flag. Cabins are divided into two teams,
hiding their cabin’s flag somewhere in their half of the
playing grounds. The game takes place in the camp’s
forest, where monsters are often hiding, making the game
particularly dangerous. To win, you need to capture the
opponent’s flag and carry it across the river that divides
the middle of the forest, acting as the game border.
Competition is fierce with particularly the Ares and
Athena cabins creating detailed strategies to rise as the
victor. Other cabins, such as the Aphrodite cabin, are not
as invested, often choosing to sit
out the game and cheer. Chiron
acts as a battlefield medic and
referee.
When the Hunters of Artemis
visit Camp Half-Blood, the
entire camp works together to
compete against the Hunters.
The Hunters have defeated
Camp Half-Blood 56 times in a
row.
CAMP BEADS
One of the most prominent camp traditions involves re-
ceiving a bead. At the end of each summer, the cabin
counselors vote on the biggest event of the summer and
paint a symbol representing that event on a bead.
Past events that have been featured on beads include:
• Thalia’s tree protecting camp
• Percy Jackson’s first year at camp and the welcoming
of a son of Poseidon
• Quest to bring the Golden Fleece to camp
• Battle of the Labyrinth
• Second Titan War
Each camper
receives a leather
necklace to
proudly wear
their beads.
Your daily schedule may be adjusted once your godly
parent has been identified.

CABIN ASSIGNMENTS
While we welcome young demigods of any age (you never
really know when monsters are going to start to find you),
you may not find out the identity of your godly relative
until age 13.
Until you are claimed, you will live in the Hermes cabin,
welcoming to all young travelers. Once your immortal
parent has been identified, you will move into your new
home.
After the Second Olympian War, due to a deal made by
demigod Percy Jackson, there are now twenty cabins at
Camp Half-Blood, one for each major or minor god, with
the possibility of more cabins being built in the future.
Much of your time at Camp Half-Blood will be dedicated to
training. While you can expect to pursue a variety of types of
combat and skills training, your schedule may be altered when you
have been claimed by your immortal parent, to allow you to perfect
skills you have a better chance of succeeding at.
Training areas include:
• Armory: Weapon storage, particularly daggers, swords,
spears, and clubs
• Climbing Wall: Climbing wall with a pit of lava at the
bottom. If a camper falls into the lava, their clothes will be
torn to threads.
• Sword Fighting Arena: Location of duels. Practice field with a
variety of weapons and straw dummies.
• Archery Field: Archery classes are taught to all students,
regardless of their immortal parent.
TRAINING
MEALS
All meals are enjoyed at the Dining Pavilion, shared by demigods,
satyrs, and camp directors. The open air dining space allows diners
to enjoy a beautiful view of the sea.
Meals can be taken at these times:
• Breakfast: 8-9 am
• Lunch: 12:30-1:30 pm
• Dinner: 6-7 pm
Food typically includes selections such as BBQ, grapes, apples,
strawberries, cheese, and fresh bread, served by the wood nymphs.
Drink goblets are enchanted to respond to your voice. Simply name
your drink of choice, and your goblet will fill with that beverage and
never empty.
All campers are required to sit at the table assigned to their cabin.
Satyrs and nymphs can sit anywhere they’d like.
Each night, campers must pay tribute to Hestia, goddess of the
hearth, by burning a portion of their best food in the pavilion fire.
