Guidelines For Presenting a 10-Minute Strategic Management Case Analysis Introduction – .5 Minute Give your name, major, and overview of firm   Give overview of your company in terms of what the firm is doing versus a glimpse of what you recommend the firm do   If showing or wearing products of your company, mention relevance, to capture interest.

Guidelines For Presenting a 10-Minute Strategic Management Case Analysis Vision and Mission – .5 Minute Tell how/why you are changing the firm’s vision and mission, if any, in light of your recommendations .   Reveal in your proposed mission your firm’s distinctive competence or competitive advantage versus rival firms.

Guidelines For Presenting a 10-Minute Strategic Management Case Analysis Internal Assessment – 1 Minute   Show your 20 key strengths/weaknesses, highlighting factors that lead most directly to your recommendations.   Your internal factors should be AQCD (actionable, quantitative, comparative, and divisional) to the extent possible. Avoid vagueness, such as “revenues are increasing.”

Guidelines For Presenting a 10-Minute Strategic Management Case Analysis External Assessment – 1 Minute Show your 20 key opportunities/threats, highlighting factors that lead most directly to your recommendations.   Your external factors should be AQCD (actionable, quantitative, comparative, and divisional) to the extent possible. Avoid vagueness, such as “the economy is improving.”

Guidelines For Presenting a 10-Minute Strategic Management Case Analysis SWOT Matrix – 1.5 Minutes Show/discuss SWOT strategies that make it to your recommendations page.   Frame strategies quantitatively; avoid vagueness such as “Expand into Africa.” Instead, be specific, such as “ Build 2 manufacturing plants in Mexico.”
