Cats of Sorrento is community-based volunteer organization from Pasig City,
Philippines committed to stray cats welfare within Sorrento Oasis Condo
Community. Its mission is to create a safe space through humane management,
animal welfare education, and collaboration between community stakeholders. Advocacy Stray Cats Welfare

Overview
The initial goal was to establish the “Cats of
Sorrento”s brand online to raise awareness and
educate the people in Sorrento Community to
address stray stigma and animal abuse.
This project was launched last January 2023 to help the volunteer group to seek
internal and external support and gain its official recognition from the Sorrento
Oasis Property Admin and its Board of Trustees

The Creation of Cats of Sorrento
Creation of The Brand
Renaming the volunteer group from Sorrento Oasis Community Cats to “Cats of
Sorrento”, Designing its Oficial Logo to represent the stray cats and the
‘compassion of the volunteers since they started as group of feeders in 2021.
The Now of The Brand
Cats of Sorrento has successfully established their online presence, gaining more
supporters within and outside the community, and on its way to become the Official
Cat Community Group of Sorrento Oasis.
The Future of The Brand
The future vision of Cats of Sorrento is to become a safe, friendly, and sustainable
cat community. With the help ofthe ASavingStrays, it paves the way in inspiring
influencing, and empowering stray communities, altogether advocating for the
same cause in ending stray homelessness, animal rescue, and breaking the stigma
they get in their respective communities.

The community cats of Sorrento has been receiving constant backlash from the
residents due to the No-Pet Policy of Sorrento Oasis. Last December 2023, one
resident started a petition to send them to the city pound. This made me pushed to
finally volunteer, help the community cats and the volunteer group gain its deserved
recognition.

Aware & Educated Community
More than the numbers above, we observed less backlash from the residents
receiving to almost zero complaints during Q4 2023 compare to previous online
feedbacks. Sorrento Community is now aware that a volunteer group exists.
People Initiate to Donate
The result of the awareness campaign garnered more supporters for our cause
which donated, sponsored, and pledged to help the community cats. A number of
supporters intated to donate cat food, pet supplies, and monetary help.
Financial Impact
‘As we gained more awareness and online engagement resulting to more
supporters and donors, this highly impacted our funding capacity supporting our
financial expenses for food, vaccination, vet bills, supplies, and other misc. expense.
