FunctionStructure
Cell biology basics
A cell consists of three parts:
the cell membrane, the nucleus,
and, between the two, the
cytoplasm. Within the
cytoplasm lie intricate
arrangements of fine fibers and
hundreds or even thousands of
miniscule but distinct
structures called organelles.
Theyprovide structure for the
body, take in nutrients from
food, convert those nutrients
into energy, and carry out
specialized functions. Cells
also contain the body's
hereditary material and can
make copies of themselves.

Cell cycle process
Grow up Divide
Growth involves both the
creation of new cells and
the accumulation of
more material within
existing cells.
Cell division is a fundamental
process by which cells
reproduce, crucial for both
unicellular and
multicellular organisms.

Cell function
Reproduction Metabolism
Reproduction is the
biological process by
which new organisms are
produced from their
parents. It can occur
through sexual or asexual
means.
Metabolism encompasses
the sum of all chemical
reactions within the cells
of living organisms,
crucial for processes such
as movement, growth,
development, and
reproduction.

Physiology chart
Phase Description
Prophase Initiation of the assembly of the mitotic spindle
Metaphase The microtubules start pulling the chromosomes with equal force
Anaphase The chromosomes are then pulled towards the pole by the fibres
Telophase The chromosomes that cluster at the two poles start coalescing
CytokinesisDenotes the division of the cytoplasm to form two daughter cells
