South Central Railway Headquarters Hospital, Lallaguda dates back
to more than 75 years in history. In 1927 a small hospital was started by
erstwhile NIZAM RAILWAYS at present location. After formation of
South Central Railway in 1966, this hospital has been developed into a
tertiary care referral hospital over the years.
The present Hospital building has been in operation since 1972. The
old OPD block and administrative blocks were commissioned in 1974. Over the
years various departments & wards have been renovated, remodeled with
installation of modern equipments, leading to the present set up of Central
Hospital, Lallaguda.
Central Hospital ,Lallaguda is at present a 300 bedded hospital with
10 general wards, one special ward, 3 intensive care units & one Dialysis unit.

neuromedicine & neurosurgery.
In addition, consultants from outside on limited hours basis are
providing services both on case to case format as well as honorary visiting
specialists in the specialities of Cardiology, Neuro sciences, Nephrology,
Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, Gastroenterology, Surgical &medical oncology,
hand surgery, Paediatrics & Microbiology.
