2. To serve God… To help those who look for God… To share His love and His words to those who seek them... These are all about others… Why are you here?

3. Through our service, God shows us that it is time for us to realize in our lives the reality that in this world, we are part of a power struggle …

4. The World Today

5. There are 2 kingdoms opposed to each other

6. We are now standing in the face of the greatest historical confrontation humanity has gone through. I do not think that... wide circles of the Christian community realize this fully. We are now facing the final confrontation between the Church and the anti-Church , of the Gospel versus the anti-Gospel .

7. GOD is rescuing us thru His son, JESUS CHRIST

8. Christian life is a constant battle against evil , just as Jesus during his life had to struggle against the devil and his many temptations… The devil tempted Jesus many times and Jesus experienced temptation and persecution throughout his lifetime. And he warned that whoever wants to follow Jesus must be aware of this reality .

9. All people are born into this battle for the hearts, minds, & souls of men People who are instruments for other men's redemption are a direct threat to Satan

11. Evangelism is the announcement, proclamation, and preaching of the gospel, the good news of and about Jesus Christ That Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day

12. Evangelism is spiritual warfare Against the rulers, authorities, powers of the dark world and the spiritual forces of evil (Ephesians 6:12)

13. The Spiritual Warfare WHO IS SATAN?

14. Invisible but real Chief of the fallen spirits Called devil, accuser, adversary, enemy of God Beelzebub – ‘Prince of the demons’ Belial Deceiver of the whole world The evil one The father of lies WHO IS SATAN?

15. Satan does not stand still when his dominion and his power over people are threatened He undertakes defensive action But most importantly, he undertakes offensive actions to those who oppose him WHO IS SATAN?

16. If you know the enemy and know yourself, your victory will not stand in doubt… He will win whose army is animated by the same spirit throughout all its ranks… The greatest victory is that which requires no battle… 5 BC

18. Commitment to Christ’s Cause Being righteous and pure in our desire to let others know of God’s love and will Being zealous, passionate & enthusiastic about our call Spiritual Weapons

19. Singlemindedness to our Purpose Being focus on the service at hand Being perseverant in our service Spiritual Weapons

20. The Word of God Being diligent, careful & conscientious in using God’s word Spiritual Weapons

21. Spiritual Gifts Wisdom & Knowledge To share our past hurts & pains to others Healing To cease past pain & hurts Discernment To be mindful of our decisions & actions towards people & situations Spiritual Weapons

22. Spiritual Gifts Faith To know that there is hope & peace for all those who seek answers from God Miracles To believe that we can turn new leaves through our service Tongues & Praise Spiritual Weapons

23. Our Protection THE ARMOR OF GOD

24. How do I “put on” God’s Armor? By knowing and trusting each part of the armor The Armor of God

25. The Armor of God 1 st Piece Belt of Truth Protection against lies and errors Satan will make us doubt & think we are too sinful Rest on the truth that God loves us and He will provide He will not give us a service or put us in a situation that we cannot handle “I am the WAY, TRUTH and LIFE..” John 14:6

26. 2 nd Piece Breastplate of Righteousness Protection against evil thoughts & sinful desires If Satan does not succeed by lies, he will try bombarding our minds with evil thoughts Resist these temptations Temptations are not sin unless entertained "Blessed are they which do hunger & thirst for righteousness: for they shall be filled.” Matt. 5:6 The Armor of God

27. 3 rd Piece Sandals of Peace Protection against an easy & lazy life If Satan cannot disturb us, he will try to make us comfortable & cozy so that we will not disturb him We need leave our comfort zones & go out after Satan's captives “For He (Christ) is our peace. . .” Ephesians 2:14-15) The Armor of God

28. 4 th Piece Shield of Faith Protection against unbelief Doubts assail us Fear of failure can cripple our action The nagging question is: Can I do it? We need to have faith that this is God's work “I am crucified w/ Christ... & the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God...” Gal . 2:20 The Armor of God

29. 5 th Piece Helmet of Salvation Protection against physical & spiritual ailments Satan will try to make you sick He will create misunderstanding in your families But we have God's protection “Neither is there salvation in any other ...” Acts 4:12 The Armor of God

30. 6 th Piece Sword of the Spirit Protection against spiritual deception & accusations The Word of God is the Sword of the Spirit Both a weapon & protection Read the daily Scriptures & the recommended books “... the Word became flesh & dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory ...” John 1:14 The Armor of God

31. 7 th Piece Prayer Prayer is talking to the Divine Sovereign God who hears & answers all our prayers, according to His will Pray at every opportunity Undertake fasting “ Pray without ceasing .” 1 Thessalonians 5:17 The Armor of God

32. Prayers should be done as much as possible together as a family or as a community “When people say the Rosary together, it is far more formidable to the devil than one said privately because in this public prayer it is an army that is attacking him” - St. Louis de Montfort The Armor of God

34. Two More Things

35. Devotion to Angels especially to one’s guardian angel is a very powerful aid in spiritual warfare that many tend to downplay Having a devotion means not only having a public and personal relationship with them but also trying to imitate their angelic virtues in order to venerate them

36. Devotion to one’s Patron Saint “The saint whose name you bear is already assigned you from your Baptism” - St. Francis de Sales Getting to know more about him, praying to him, making him a model for one’s life and often calling upon him for aid is a very powerful help in growing in holiness

37. Acknowledge Satan and his power Acknowledge that thru the Holy Spirit , you have the power & authority over Satan Acknowledge that there will be difficulties along the way Acknowledge that this is a won victory Finally…

38. All people are part of this battle Are you with Him… or against Him?
