Instead of the methyl group of the thymine,in the bromo uracil contains Bromine group-highly resemble to the thymine. I t pair s with the adenine as like the t h y m i n e and produces the mutation .

M e c h a n i s m o f 5 - bromouraci l a c t i o n i s q u i t e i n t e r e s t i n g . During replication, instead of thymine, it generates guanine which pairs with the cytosine .

Aminopuri n e s Another base analogue is amino purine which is similar to the a d e n i n e and can pair with either T o r C , a l t h o u g h p a i r i n g w i t h C i s less frequent. It can also cause A T - GC or GC - A T transition during the replication.
