3. Sponge spicule is a kind of extract from natural origin freshwater sponge, it is
in form of powder with good fluidity. According to the sequence of spicule
content from low to high, the appearance colors present as brown, light
brown, gray and white.

This is a natural functional ingredient used in cosmetic as abrasive matter and
absorption enhancer.
The freshwater resources in western Sichuan, such as lakes, wetlands, and
rivers, provide ideal conditions for the growth of high-quality freshwater
sponges due to their clear water quality, rich minerals, low-temperature envi-
ronment, and low pollution levels. The ecological protection measures for
these resources further ensure a stable habitat for sponges, making it a premi-
um habitat for freshwater sponge growth.
COSMO leverages this unique natural resource, combined with advanced
hydrolysis technology, to develop a series of hydrolyzed sponge products with
distinct advantages.
Spicule is a kind of micro slender silica with needle-like by micrography, it’s a
kind of bio needle which is gradually evolved by freshwater sponge in order to
adapt the living environment. An intact spicule has length of 100~350um and
diameter of 10-20um, it can penetrate the SC by slight massage to create nano
holes.

4. Sponges are the most primitive creatures that have lived on our planet for 200
million years. There are more than 10000 kinds of sponges in the world, most
of which live in the ocean, accounting for 1 / 15 of the total number of marine
organisms.

However, not all sponges live in the sea. There are about 20 kinds of sponges
living in fresh water. They usually live in clean lakes and slow streams. Fresh
