About This Presentation
Snaps from Cherrapunjee, the rainiest place on planet Earth. Cherrapunjee is located 50 kms from Shillong, which is the capital of Meghalaya in the NorthEastern part of India. Meghalaya means "adode of clouds" and Cherrapuji gets 12000mm (12 meters) of rainfall every year. Phew!

Phew!
Incidentally since 2003 Cherrapunjee has lost that distinction to a nearby remote village called Mawsynram, which is now the rainiest place. Though this info has not been updated in the Gusiness Books of world records as yet.
