will show you how to add a new DAM connection in
Canva.
How to Add a New
Integration in
Canva
When you log in with the CI HUB Connector, you will be
taken to the Connections tab , where you can see a list
of all available connections. Type keywords into the
search bar or browse the list to quickly find the
integration you want. The list will dynamically update to
show matching connections.
Adding a New
Connection
Once you have located the desired integration, click on
it and use your DAM credentials to connect . After this,
you’ll get a link to the login page. Click “Continue” and
enter your credentials. You need to grant Access to the
Application. Once completed, the integration will appear
in the “Active Connections” section.
How to Set Up the
Integration
After adding a new integration, you can go to the Assets
section. All of your assets are organized into folders for
easy navigation. You can use the search bar to quickly
find files or resources. Additionally, you can preview your
assets directly in Canva, making it simple to choose the
right one for your project.
With the integration in place, you can seamlessly drag
and drop assets into your designs, customize them as
required, and streamline your creative workflow.
Accessing and
Managing Assets
CI HUB provides seamless access to various DAM
platforms, making it easy to manage and access digital
assets. Using the CI HUB Connector, you can combine
several connections into one, with each providing
special features to enhance your workflow.
Managing
Connection Feature
After adding a connection using the CI HUB connector,
you can see it in Canva under “Active Connections”. This
section lists all Important integrations. If the integrations
are not yet supported, you may request their inclusion
by clicking on the link provided and completing the
form.
Overview of the
Connection Details
Clicking on a connection name directs you to a detailed
overview section that provides essential information,
including
Your Username: The account name or email associated
with the connection.
The Endpoint: The specific URL or location used to
access the connected platform.
View Connection

has expired and could not be refreshed.
Additionally, this section includes two important buttons:
1.Refresh 2. Disconnect
Connection
Status
The CI HUB plugin’s Asset section organizes all assets
from each connection into folders for easy access—
images, videos, documents, and more. Use the search
bar to quickly find files, then drag and drop them into
Canva to customize and use in your designs,
streamlining your workflow.
Exploring the
Assets Section
Designed to optimize your workflow, the CI HUB
Connector for Canva provides various features. These
features are designed to enhance file management,
offer a more comprehensive understanding of assets,
and enhance the user experience.
Features of the CI HUB
Connector for Canva
The CI HUB Connector now only shows files that are
compatible with Canva after filtering out files that are
not supported. An info tooltip provides information on
supported formats in the event that a non-compatible
file is encountered, thereby optimizing asset
management and simplifying the process.
Enhanced File Filtering
and Compatibility
Improved browsing and filtering tools make it easy to
find and move through your assets. The asset list will
automatically load additional files as you scroll,
ensuring a seamless navigation experience. You can
also get more files without scrolling by clicking the “Load
More” button next to the folder name.
The grid view’s file names are displayed in a tooltip on
hover to enhance visibility, thereby reducing clutter and
maintaining full file names accessibility.
Improved Grid View
File Readability
The Pre-Search Filter lets you narrow results before
running a search. Fill in your keyword, press Enter, and it
will show only the most relevant results. You can limit the
search to a specific folder by selecting “Restrict search
to [folder].” Depending on the integration, you can also
change the language settings to view search results
and folders in your preferred language.
Advanced Filter
Options
The CI HUB plugin lets you browse and switch between
asset versions in the Asset Details view. View full
metadata, including file type, size, dimensions, and
custom info and drag it into Canva. Add selected
renditions directly to your design or open assets in your
DAM. You can also permanently delete assets with a
simple click.
Metadata and
Renditions
The CI HUB plugin lets users upload files directly from
Canva or their local system into their DAM, supporting
multiple files at once. Users can review, manage, or
remove files before upload. The system auto-renames
duplicates to prevent conflicts. Supported formats
include jpg, png, svg, webp, tiff, and heic, with a
maximum file size of 10 MB.
Streamlined Upload
Feature
The CI HUB Connector for Canva provides easy access
to all account and license information, including license
type and expiration date. Users receive reminders when
a license is nearing expiration and clear messages if it
has expired. A “Purchase License” button allows users to
quickly buy or renew their license directly from the
connector, ensuring uninterrupted access and smooth
workflow management.
