I invite you to take a trip to an ideal city. I want you to imagine
an ideal city that has been designed for youth. We are going
to visit this new city and our visit will last one day.
Imagine that you are now in a hot-air balloon and you are
floating above this ideal city. As you look down, this marvellous
city is laid out in front of you. Look now.

10. My ideal city...
The neighbourhood is lively, colourful, with lots of green space.You can
walk anywhere and feel safe.The streets are lit, the roads are nice, and
the traffic flows easily. On the outside, the school has lots of trees and
flowers, it’s welcoming. Inside, it’s colourful and open.
Everyone is laughing and having fun.There are activities all day.There is
no discrimination, rejection, taxing or bullying.There are lots of extra-
curricular activities.Young people can express themselves freely without
being afraid of looking stupid.There is public transport. Buses go by
several times a day. In the evening, young people can go to the movies
or a sports complex nearby or the Museum. In the street, neighbours
talk to each other from their front porches and the atmosphere is lively.
People can go out in the street day or night with no worries .
