(A)GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
1.ALL STRUCTURAL MATERIALS AND WORK SHALL CONFORM TO THE REQUIREMENTS OF
THE LATEST EDITION OF THE NATIONAL STRUCTURAL CODE OF THE PHILIPPINES(NSCP
2001).
2.VERIFY ALL DIMENSIONS, ELEVATIONS AND SITE CONDITIONS BEFORE STARTING WORK.
NOTIFY THE ENGINEER IMMEDIATELY OF ANY DISCREPANCIES.
3.NOTES AND DETAILS ON THE DRAWINGS TAKE PRECEDENCE OVER THE GENERAL NOTES
AND TYPICAL DETAILS IN CASE OF CONFLICT.
4.WHERE CONSTRUCTION DETAILS ARE NOT SHOWN OR NOTED FOR ANY PART OF THE
WORK, SUCH DETAILS SHALL BE THE SAME AS FOR SIMILAR WORK SHOWN ON THE
DRAWINGS.
5.PIPES, DUCTS, SLEEVES, CHASES, ETC. SHALL NOT BE PLACED IN SLABS, BEAMS, OR
WALLS UNLESS SPECIFICALLY SHOWN OR NOTED NOR SHALL ANY STRUCTURAL
MEMBER BE CUT FOR PIPES, DUCTS, ETC. UNLESS SPECIFICALLY SHOWN. OBTAIN PRIOR
WRITTEN APPROVAL FROM THE ENGINEER FOR INSTALLATION OF ANY ADDITIONAL
PIPES, DUCTS, ETC. LOCATE AND PROTECT UNDERGROUND OR CONCEALED CONDUIT,
PLUMBING OR OTHER UTILITIES WHERE NEW WORK IS BEING PERFORMED.

(B)FOUNDATION
1.FOOTINGS SHALL BEAR ON SOLID UNDISTURBED EARTH (CONTROLLED, COMPACTED
STRUCTURAL FILL OR BOTH) AT LEAST 450MM BELOW LOWEST ADJACENT FINISHED
GRADE
2.THE CONTRACTOR SHALL NOTIFY THE ENGINEER/ARCHITECT AFTER FOOTING
EXCAVATION HAVE BEEN COMPLETED AND PRIOR TO CONCRETING TO CONFIRM THE
DESIGN FOUNDATION CAPACITY
3.ROOF AND AREA DRAINAGE SHALL BE DIRECTED AWAY FROM THE FOUNDATIONS
(C)MATERIAL STRENGTH
1.THE CONCRETE COMPOSITION SHALL BE WELL PROPORTIONED IN ORDER TO PROVIDE AN
AVERAGE COMPRESSIVE STRENGTH OF 21MPa IN 28 DAYS. UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED
THE GRADE OF THE CONCRETE SHALL BE AS FOLLOWS:

FOOTINGS, FOOTING TIE BEAMS & COLUMNS : 3000psi
SLAB ON GRADE, AREA DRAIN, CATCH BASIN : 2500psi
2.STEEL REINFORCEMENT: THE MINIMUM YIELD STRENGTH OF STEEL REINFORCEMENT
SHALL BE AS FOLLOWS:
DEFORMED BARS 16mm AND BIGGER :275MPa
DEFORMED BARS 12mm AND BIGGER :230MPa
3.CEMENT:
3.1.THE PORTLAND CEMENT TO USED SHALL BE OF THE FOLLOWING PROPORTIONS:

CLASS A CONCRETE MIXTURE PROPORTION IS USED IN
BUILDING FOOTINGS, GIRDERS, COLUMNS, BEAMS,
JOIST, AND SLABS.

1.REGARDLESS OF WHETHER OR NOT SHOWN IN THE ARCHITECTURAL OR STRUCTURAL
DRAWINGS AND OTHER DOCUMENTS, IT IS NECESSARY THAT THE FOLLOWING
STANDARD PROVISIONS ARE INTENDED TO BE PART OF THE CONTRACT AND SHALL BE
