YLA Location Which community/locality did you work in to help tackle the issue? Localities involved: The Islamia University of Bahawa lpur (Bagdad-ul- Jadeed Campus) Among the staff at The Bagdad-ul- Jadeed campus of Islamia University of Bahawalpur, we conducted our initiative. The main topic of our endeavir was “How Climate is Changing Due to Human Activities?” We shared our ideas, and both groups (YLA and participants) engaged in a brief discussion of the topic from various perspectives. The conversation particularly involved employees working in plant growth and those in the state-care department of the university. Their insights were invaluable in understanding the practical implications of climate change and how it affects their work.

Background and Rationale Briefly give and overview of your YLA? As no one can deny, the climate is changing due to various reasons created by human activities. One of the primary contributors is the burning of fossil fuels including petrol, diesel, and compressed natural gas (CNG). These fuels release significant amounts of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases into the atmospher leading to an increase in global temperature. Furthermore, deforestation and industrial processes further exacerbate the situation by reducing the Earth's capacity to absorb carbon and releasing more pollutants. Together, these actions contribute to climate change, affecting weather patterns, sea levels, and ecosystems worldwide.

Background and Rationale How your YLA will address the needs identified and evaluated? Assessment and Planning : We will start by going over the needs that were found throughout our evaluations and talks in great detail. Collaborative Approach : We prioritize our actions based on impact working as a team by assisting each other. Execution of Instructional Plans : Execution of instructional plans in every institute by the support of their staff. Monitoring and Evaluation : Progress and outcomes will be monitored weekly basis through assessment forms. Feedback and Comments: Feedback is a great tool to figure out the growth and advantages of whole activity.

Background and Rationale How this YLA will offer a new and creative way to tackle the needs? The team will use a unique approach by combining technology and community participation. We can provide online resources and interactive physical workshops that make learning available to a wider audience by utilizing digital platforms and institutions. Members will be able to collaborate and exchange ideas and solutions in real time as a result, which will increase engagement. Incorporating gamification components into our programs will also increase participant motivation and enjoyment of the learning process, which will ultimately result in a stronger retention of knowledge and skills.

YLA Objectives Our team's main goal is to provide creative and long-lasting solutions to the community's stated requirements. By offering educational materials, developing leadership abilities, and encouraging active involvement in neighbourhood projects, we hope to empower people. By fostering a collaborative atmosphere, we hope to leverage different viewpoints and stimulate original problem-solving.

YLA Outcomes What outcomes and impact were you able to achieve through your YLA? Through our initiative, we achieved several significant outcomes that contributed to both individual and community development. Firstly, we successfully educated over 23 employees at The Islamia University of Bahawalpur about the impacts of climate change and the importance of sustainable practices. This resulted in increased awareness and knowledge, with many participants reporting changes in their daily habits, such as reduced energy consumption and more eco-friendly practices.

Activities and Methodology Detail the expected activities to be implemented as part of the YLA project, along with the proposed methodology and approach. Sustainability Explain the next steps for sustaining the implemented YLA project after its completion Establish a Community Network : To encourage continued participation and cooperation on climate-related projects, form a support group including members from local organizations, stakeholders, and participants. Implement Follow-Up Activities : To ensure that learning continues and that the community is involved, schedule frequent workshops, seminars, and events to reinforce the knowledge that was acquired during the project. Seek Funding and Partnerships : To secure funds for upcoming events and increase the project's sustainability, look into grants and collaborations with nearby companies and non-governmental organizations. Document and Share Outcomes: Prepare reports and success stories to share with YLA and the community, promoting the project’s impact and inspiring ongoing interest and support.

Recommendations Provide recommendations for future youth-led initiatives and projects, based on the experiences and findings of the YLA project. Future youth-led projects ought to place a high priority on addressing community needs in light of the lessons learned and conclusions drawn from the YLA project. Before a project is designed, comprehensive assessments are carried out to guarantee that the efforts are beneficial and relevant, addressing particular problems that the community faces. Furthermore, promoting cooperation between youth organizations, academic institutions, and neighbourhood non-governmental organizations can improve the exchange of resources and knowledge, resulting in a stronger support system. Technology may help outreach and engagement programs reach a wider audience and increase participation, making them more approachable to a range of young people.

Thank You
