2. What is contactors ? A contactor is an electrical device which is used for switching an electrical circuit ON or OFF. It is special type of relay. A contactor is used in applications with higher current carrying capacity ( 5000 amperes and over 100 KW power) Compact in size and mounted easily. Provide operating power to load when the contactor coil is energized.

3. What is relay ? It is an electromagnetic device for remote or automatic control that is actuated by variation in conditions of an electric circuit and that operates in turn other devices in the same or a different circuit. It is a device with which you can operate high power devices at low voltage. It is a device to automate and protect your devices from harm.

4. What is ups ? The UPS provides the required standard rectified power from its battery bank as per the machine’s specification irrespective of whether there is any incoming power supply or not. It is not dependent upon the quality of the power it is receiving to feed the machines installed at the output. Thus once’s CNC machines receive the right quality power irrespective of what is available at the premises.

5. What is plc card? PLC means Programmable Logic Controller It is an industrial computer that has been ruggedized and adapted for the control of manufacturing process. PLC can range from small modular devices with tens of input and output to large rack-mounted modular devices with thousands of I/O. They can be designed for many arrangements of digital and analogue I/O, extended temperature ranges, immunity to electrical noise, and resistance to vibration and impact.

6. Programs to control machine operation are typically stored in battery-backed-up or non-volatile memory. A PLC is an example of a hard real-time system since output results must be produced in response to input condition within a limited time, otherwise unintended operation will result. PLCs are intended-for and therefore tolerant-of more severe condition (such as dust, moisture, heat, cold), while offering extensive I/O to connect the plc to sensors and actuators.

7. What is emergency stop button? Emergency stop : a function that is intended to avert harm or to reduce existing hazards to persons, machinery, or work in progress. It isn’t a safe guard but is considered to be a complementary protective measure.

8. What is main switch ( mccb ) ? MCCB means Moulded Case Circuit Breaker It is used for protecting the equipment from short circuit due to flow of power frequency fault currents. With current rating up to 2500A, MCCBs can be used for a wide range of voltages and frequencies with adjustable trip settings. These breakers are used instead of MCBs in large scale PV systems for system isolation and protection purposes.
