The objective of this project is to create a comprehensive college ID card management system that integrates with existing campus system, automates manual processes, and provides a convenient and secure way for students and faculty to access campus resources and services. OBJECTIVES
The college ID card management system is a software solution designed to automated ID card management and access control . The system provides a secure, scalable, and user-friendly platform for campus administrators to manage ID cards, assign access privileges, and maintain accurate records, aiming to enhance campus security and improve administrative efficiency. ABSTRACT
Manual and outdated system for managing college ID cards. Unique Aspects 1. Manual registration and data entry 2. Outdated software and basic software 3. Limited functionality and security risks. 4. Inefficient and error-prone processes. EXISTING SYSTEM
A proposed system for college ID card management aims to streamline the process of issuing, updating, and managing student staff, and faculty ID cards. It allows users to apply for ID cards online, generates unique IDs with QR or barcode, stores record in a secure database, and ensuring efficiency, accuracy and enhanced security. Allow a real time updates in case of lost cards, address changes, or new admissions. PROPOSED SYSTEM
Efficiency & Automation : Quick ID generation, bulk printing and faster processing Data Management : Centralized database, real-time updates, and secure backups. Cost-Effective: Less paperwork, minimized errors, and efficient resource use. User-friendly : Self-service portals, notification alerts, and easy replacements. Environmental Benefits : paperless process and reduce material wastages ADVANTAGES
FLOW CHART
Mobile App Integration: Allowing students to access their digital ID card on their smartphones for seamless access control and other campus services. Multipurpose student ID card system: Researches are developing ID card systems that can be used for multiple purposes, such as attendance, library access and campus services, CURRENT DEVELOPMENT
Once th e RFID reader provides access to the user or student. Every RFID tag is unique and the RFID reader is connected t o the database (student database in this case). This database a nd RFID reader is in turn connected to the university portal and a GSM Module. The university portal will store the a ttendance report of the student. The GSM module is used in or der to generate messages to parents regarding the a ttendance of the student. The attendance message is g enerated to the parent. In case the student is absent, the m essage of absence is generate.
The college ID card management system successfully streamlines the process of generating, distributing and managing ID card for students and faculty and staff. The project demonstrates the potential of digital solution in improving administrative processes within educational institutions. Overall, this project highlights how technology can contribute to effective campus management while ensuring convenience, accyracy, and security. CONCLUSION
