STEPS TO CONVERT TRASH TO TREASURE
Do you know
about Climate
Change?
Climate change is real
Prolong rainfall
Rise in
temperature
Drought Severe Storm
Climate Change
Causes of Climate Change
Green House Gas Emmissions
As greenhouse gas emissions
blanket the earth, they trap the
sun's heat. This lead to global
warming and climate change
Causes of Climate Change
Greenhouse gases occur
naturally, but human activities
are increasing concentrations
of some of them in
atmosphere, in particular:
Forests absorb carbon
dioxide,
When they are cut, release
the carbon they have been
storing
Causes of Climate Change
Deforestation
When burned, they release
nitrogen oxides into the
atmosphere, contributing
to the formation of smog
and acid rain.
Causes of Climate Change
Burning Fossil Fuels
Growing crops can also cause
emissions, like when using
fertilizers, pesticides, and manure.
Cattle produce methane, a
powerful greenhouse gas. And
emissions also come from
packaging and distributing food
Causes of Climate Change
Producing Goods
Everything we do contributes
to greenhouse gas emissions.
So does the consumption of
goods such as clothing,
electronics and plastics.
Causes of Climate Change
Consuming too much
Vehicles run on fossil fuels.
That makes transportation
a major contributor of
greenhouse gases,
especially carbon-dioxide
emissions.
Causes of Climate Change
Transportation
Globally, residential and
commercial buildings consume
over half of all electricity.
As they continue to draw on
coal, oil and natural gas for
heating and cooling, they emit
significant quantities of
greenhouse gas emissions.
Causes of Climate Change
Energy Consumption
Melting of
Glaciers
Out break of
invasive species
Intense Wild fire
Longer lasting
drought
Heat waves
Landslides
Unpredictable
Growing Seasons
Outbreak of
New Disease
Effects of Climate Change
Major Solution
Things to reduce
Things to reuse
Things to recycle
