3. ABOUT DVD DVD stands for Digital Versatile Disc /Digital Videos Disc. It is a digital optical disc storage format that is used to store large amounts of data, such as high-quality videos and movies. Like a CD, the data on a DVD is encoded in the form of small pits and bumps in the track of the disc.

4. ABOUT DVD PLAYER A DVD player is a device that plays DVDs produced under both the DVD-Video and DVD-Audio technical standards, two different and incompatible standards. The DVD player's job is finding and reading the data stored as bumps on the DVD. DVD player are connected to the a Television to watch the content of the DVD, which could be a Movie, a recorded TV show or Music.

7. WORKING OF DVD PLAYER When Disc is inserted in the DVD player, the stepper motor inside the DVD player starts rotating the disc. The laser beam generator generates laser beams which collide with the surface of the DVD and the surface of the DVD reflect back the laser beam. The reflected laser beam is detected by the Photo diode. Photo diode converts the light signal to electrical signal and then the amplifier circuit amplifies the signal.
