This product is a triangular sugar-coated tablet,
printed with "Rapamune 1 mg" in red, and it appears
off-white after removing the coating.
Sirolimus is indicated for the prevention of organ rejection in patients 13 years of age or older who have
received a kidney transplant. Sirolimus is recommended in combination with cyclosporine and
corticosteroids. Monitoring of therapeutic drug plasma levels is recommended for all patients receiving
sirolimus.
Sirolimus should only be used by physicians experienced in immunosuppressive therapy
and the management of renal transplant patients. Patients receiving this drug should be
treated in institutions equipped with appropriate laboratory and ancillary medical facilities
and personnel. Physicians responsible for maintenance therapy should have complete data
necessary for patient follow-up.
