4. Silent Features of 17-SAMSS-502 (Page : 4 of 18) 29 Note: Supply Voltage for motors above 500HP is selected by EPC/Client side. However, if it is not declared or stated by EPC/Client, then defaulter will be taken as per API 541 S tand a r d su p ply V o l tage in AOC project.
4. Silent Features of 17-SAMSS-502 (Page : 5 of 18) 30 Motor suitable for reduced voltage @ 80% Rated Voltage N o . of C o ld/H o t S t a r t; 3 / 2, e qua ll y distributed in an hour. If not specified by client/EPC, starting current (LRC) of motor shall be 650% (by Default).
Teco can choose to decide method of cooling as per design and its requirement. Similarly, Teco has liberty to choose nomenclature as per IEC as well as NEMA. Note: If EPC/Client didn’t specify cooling method in motor proposal, then selection will be made as per requirement. As default condition, Teco choose for TEAAC enclosure. 4. 4. Silent Features of 17-SAMSS-502 (Page : 7 of 18) 32 Teco choose frame material meeting API 541 Clause 2.4.2 Frame can be -Steel Fabricated -Cast Iron If Client/EPC has not specified any specific construction method, then Teco will choose, what best for design – keeping natural frequency of frame minimal.

4. Silent Features of 17-SAMSS-502 (Page : 9 of 18) 34 In case of Vertical motors, antifriction bearing can be used, with conditions to be met as per API 541 Clause no. 2.4.7.1.5. Bearing should comply with ABMA. All bearings need to be electrically insulated. Bearing shell need to grounded used earthing straps.
4. Silent Features of 17-SAMSS-502 (Page : 10 of 18) 35 Note: Conditions can be overruled, if there is any specific request from EPC/Client.
