Procedure for Creation of Mail Merge in MS-Word 2007
MS-Word 2007 provides easy access to all the commands necessary for
creating a mail merge. These commands are available in the Mailings command
tab.
Creating a Mail Merge - letter:
Click on Windows button on keyboard – click on All Programs – Go to
Microsoft Office folder – click on Microsoft Office Word 2007.
In MS-Word, go to File menu, click on New and click on Blank
Document.
Click Start Mail Merge on the Mailings tab.
Choose the type of document you are merging (letter, directory, etc.).
Your options for choosing a document type include the following:
Here, first I am selecting Step by Step Mail Merge Wizard.

Once you click on Step By Step Mail Merge Wizard the above screen
appears.
 Then you click on Letters (radio button) and then click on starting
document (you can see here step 1 of 6) at the bottom side of the window,
then you find below window appear.
In above window you click on use the current document radio button and
then click on select recipients (you can see here step 2 of 6) and you find
below window.

In the above window you click on Type a new list radio button and select
create then the below window appears.
Once you click on create then the above window appears, here you can
customize columns according to requirement and you can type a New
Address List and then click on OK button then you find below window.

Give a name to the Database; here i gave name as MYDATABASE then
click on save button. Once you do this you find below window, consists
Data Source as MYDATABASE.mdb, then click on ok button.
After click on ok button you find below window.

Here in the above window you click on use an existing list radio button and
then select write your letter at the bottom of the window (step 3 of 6) then
you observe the following window.
In the above window you can insert address block, Greeting line etc. You
can type the body of the letter (Body of the letter is common for all the
recipients from whom you send letter) .
Then you click on Preview your letters (step 4 of 6) then you find below
window.

Here we find the Recipients both forward and backward buttons, click on
these buttons you can find the entire recipients you typed in the mail merge
recipients list and you can see here the preview of all letters. Once you seen
the preview then click on Complete the merge (Step 5 of 6) then you find
the below window.
In the above window click on print.
