वीरयते विक्रान्तः कर्मसमर्थो भवति अनेन इति वीर्यम् । द्र.गु.वि

Whole world composed of panchamahabhuta which has agni-somiya essence, hence virya are also 2 in number i.e Ushna (Agni) and Sheeta ( Somiya ) B.
