Kompetensi Dasar Indikator Pencapaian Kompetensi 3.32 Menganalisis fungsi sosial, struktur teks, dan unsur kebahasaan teks interaksi transaksional lisan dan tulis yang melibatkan tindakan memberi dan meminta informasi terkait pengandaian diikuti oleh perintah/saran, sesuai dengan bidang keahlian dan konteks penggunaannya. Conditional Sentence, Imperative/Suggestion Conditional Sentence, Imperative/Suggestion Definisi : Conditional sentence adalah kalimat majemuk ( complex sentence ) yang terdiri dari dua atau lebih kalimat sederhana . Kalimat sederhana terdiri dari induk kalimat ( Main Clause ) dan anak kalimat ( Sub Clause ) . Karena sub clause diawali dengan kata IF ( jika ) maka dikenal dengan nama If Clause. S ubordinate conjunction   if   berupa   condition  ( syarat )   dan   main clause   berupa   result/consequence  ( hasil ) .   Fungsi sosial: Planning future activities, Giving suggestions, advices and instructions

9. If clause + suggestions This type of conditional sentence is used to give advice about what should be done if you want a condition to occur. Structure: If + Simple Present, S + Should /Had Better/ Ought to + V1 Examples: If you want to get better, you should see a doctor. If you want to get up early in the morning, why don't you stop watching TV. If you want to speak English well, you had better join a good English course.

10. If c lause + imperative We use the imperative to give instructions of advice. Structure: If + Simple Present, V1 + Object/Adverb Example: If you want to finish your homework, stop playing mobile games now! If you want to take a good picture, choose a correct setting for the camera! If you want to win this match, be confident and never surrender!

11. Another Example: If you see John,   tell   him he needs to come to my office. If you travel abroad,  remember  the passport. If you go to Australia,  send   me a postcard. If you go to the supermarket,  bring back   some milk. If Mike comes,   call  me. The highlighted words are in the imperative . These sentences are similar to saying: If the first condition happens, you must do this (in the second/imperative clause).
