Who is Consumer ?
The consumer is the one who is the end- user of any goods or services.
Any person, other than the buyer who buys the product or services,
and consumes the product by taking his/her permission is categorized as
a consumer.

Consumer Protection
The Consumer Protection Act 1986, is a law in India that safeguards
the interests of consumers. It establishes consumer rights and provides a
framework for redressal of consumer grievances through the setting up
of consumer court and forums at national, state, and district levels.

COMMON PROBLEMS FACED BY A
CONSUMER IN MARKET PLACE
Consumers are unable to decide which product is more suitable to
meet, their requirements. All goods and commodities available in market
are not standardized. Consumers are not sure of the quality of the
product for which they are spending their money.

CONSUMER MANAGEMENT IN INDIA
Customer management is defined as the inclusion of different processes
and systems to manage relationships amongst a small business or big
organization, its employees, and target customers to optimize and
automate the sales-marketing”

CONSUMER PROTECTION ACT, 1986
The Consumer Protection Bill, 1986 seeks to provide for better
protection of the interests of consumers and for the purpose, to make
provision for the establishment of Consumer councils and other
authorities for the settlement of consumer disputes and for matter
connected therewith

LEARNING TO BECOME A WELL -
INFORMED CONSUMER
Before buying any products in the market, a consumer should read all
the information regarding prices and dates so the seller cannot ask for
more price and sell rejected product. A better consumer would follow
the right to information (RTI) while buying goods.

CONCLUSION
Consumers have the right to be free of hazardous goods and services
that jeopardize their lives and property. The customer have a rights to
know about the quantity, consistency, purity, strength, and quality of
goods and services. Furthermore, consumers must pay reasonable rates
for the goods they purchase.
