3. CONTACT LENSSOLUTIONS
Contact lens solution is used for effective cleaning of contact lenses helps
maintain the quality of the lenses throughout their lives and, more
importantly, helps protect the health of the eye
The disinfection process is simple and the most important thing is to find the
right CL solution

4. Purpose of contact lens solution
A good quality contact lens solution is the best friend for your eyes.
It helps in cleaning ,rinsing and disinfecting the contact lenses.
All other contact lenses are stored in lens solution, other than daily
disposable.

5. TYPES OF CONTACT LENS SOLUTIONS
All contact lens solutions are not designed for multipurpose functions.
Every solution has its own specific benefits.
4 types of CL solutions for caring contact lens
1.Multipurpose CL solutions

6. MULTIPURPOSE CL SOLUTIONS
Multipurpose solutions can be used to clean , rinse , disinfect and store
contact lenses.
Multipurpose solutions are most popular method of contact lens care.
It is widely recommended by ophthalmologists and contact lens wearers.

7. SALINE SOLUTIONS
Saline solutions are mainly used for rinsing and storing
contact lenses .
If when you’re using a heat or UV disinfection system.
Never use saline products for cleaning and disinfection.

8. HYDROGEN PEROXIDE BASED SOLUTION(HPB)
It is used for cleaning , disinfecting ,rinsing and storing your contact lens.
Place your lenses in the provided basket and rinsthem.
Filt the cup with solution to clean and disinfect your lenses.
It also requires a critical step of neutralization

9. DAILY CLEANERS
A daily cleaners is used to clean CLs prior to disinfection.
Place a few drops in the palm of your hand and rub the lens as directed.
Daily cleaners are not meant to disinfect CLs .
Use other products for rinsing and disinfection .

11. AQUASOFT LENS SOLUTION
Aquasoft is a multipurpose contact lens solution.
Aquasoft is a sterile aqueous isotonic solution.
It contains sodium and potassium chloride , disodium edetate , poloxamer and
polyhexanide.
It cleans rinses, disinfects, wets, stores, lubricates. It removes protein from
the contact lenses.

(polyvinylpyrrolidone).
This solution is important for those who work a lot at the computer , with
artificial air conditioning (non-wetting) , non standard heaters, with a large

CONTENT :
A sterile, isotonic solution that contains HYDRANATE®
(hydroxyalkylphosphonate), boric acid, edetate disodium, poloxamine, sodium
borate and sodium chloride; preserved with DYMED® (polyaminopropyl
biguanide) 0.0001%.
ACTION:
Cleans, loosens and removes accumulations of film, protein, other deposits and debris
from soft contact lenses. Removes protein most effectively when used daily. Destroys
harmful micro-organisms on the surface of the lens. Rinses, stores and wets lenses
before insertion. Formulated for use in disinfection and storing lenses for up to 30 days
after disinfection.

15. BIOTRUE LENS SOLUTION
Biotrue is a multipurpose contact lens solution.
It works as a lubricant and moistens the lenses for comfort wearing.
The solution is designed to match the pH of the tears.
It fights germs, cleans the contact lens and prevents certain tear proteins.

16. BIOTRUE CL SOLUTION
BAUSCH + LOMB developed a unique and innovative product that helps keep
lenses moist for up to 20hrs.
It has hyaluronan (HA),a lubricant found naturally in the eyes , helping to
provide up to 20 hrsof moisture.

poloxamine , boric acid , sodium borate , edetate disodium and sodium

A sterile , buffered ,aqueous solution is a sterile , buffered ,aqueous solution
containing amino methyl propanol , boric acid disodium EDTA , sodium
chloride , sodium citrate , sorbitol , two wetting agent (TETRONIC 1304+ AND
hydraglyde moisture matrix [EOBO –41-polyoxyethylene-polyoxybutylene])
