Brand Identify by Randy Crain

Heading - Titles

He Speaks Media
Burnaby Stencil packs a punch with a gritty tone that’ll make your message feel
like it’s coming straight from the streets. And if you’re worried about it looking
too cookie-cutter, no need to fret. This font switches up custom letter pairs in
OpenType savvy apps, giving your text a natural, hand-painted feel.
So if you’re ready to unleash the rugged, urban vibes in your designs, Burnaby
Stencil is your new best friend. Let your words speak loud and proud with this font
that’ll make ’em stand up and take notice.
As God speaks to us in dreams, often it is in metaphor and pictures. When trying
to interpret our dreams and understand what God is saying, it can be mysterious.
This font in large letters sets a tone that is mysterious, bold, and yet a
contemporary look and feel,

Some History of Neue Haas Grotesk / Helvetica Neue
Why I chose this for paragraph / text
The Neue Haas Grotesk typeface was designed by Eduard Hoffmann and Max Miedinger. At the time of
its creation, Hoffmann was the president of the Haas Type Foundry in Switzerland. He hired Max
Miedinger, a former employee of the Haas Type Foundry who had become a freelance designer.
Miedinger was a gifted salesman as well as a designer, and together they began the creation of a new
typeface: Neue Haas Grotesk. In the mid 1950’s the Haas Type Foundry started to notice a decrease in
their typeface sales. Hoffmann decided that he needed to create a new typeface that would be more
successful than the previous typefaces. He reached out and hired the former Haas designer and
salesman Max Miedinger. Then the two started work on a new typeface in 1956. For the next few
months the two were busy comparing their drawings and proofs to old grotesk typefaces. The name
Neue Haas Grotesk was not suited for the marketplace and so the name was changed to Helvetica. The
name change made sense as the Neue Haas Grotesk typeface had been significantly changed when
converted to machine type. Helvetica has become one of the most popular and well known typefaces
that many use today.
I was looking for a type font that matched the boldness of the Burnabie font, but
was readable, contemporary, and could scale as well for a font type of today. It
looks professional and elegant at the same time.

Color Palette

He Speaks Media
I chose the colors in the color palette for several reasons. First, these are the colors
that I have used on my website www.HeSpeaksMedia.com. Second, purple is the
color of royalty, it also denotes our sin stained lives. Every child of God is part of a
royal family by Jesus Christ. Third, the blue combined with the purple colors, is soft
on the eyes. Finally, the yellow represents gold in the dreams that we receive. Our
dreams are full of wisdom and like precious stones of great value. The colors used
in this presentation are very similar in color to what I have in my website.

He Speaks Media
Logo
Logo
I created 2 different logos of a house. One plain and one in a thunderstorm.
The house represents a place of safety and security. Its where we live and
raise our families. Its were we typically sleep and God speaks to us. The
image with a thunderstorm represents God’s voice as one of power and
authority in our lives. When a thunderstorm is happening, you know it. God
through dreams, is always trying to speak to us, but we don’t always perceive or
understand it. So, in a dream of the night, he speaks to us time and time again.
The thunderstorm represents the persistence of God not giving up on us and
continuing to let us know He is there.
