Quizlet Diagrams
Quizlet’s most recent learning activity, Diagrams, has a great deal of potential for students who require
vocabulary assistance with their courses. A diagram can be added to a study sets to provide a more
visual means of interacting with the vocabulary. Locating or creating suitable images is the most
challenging aspect of creating Quizlet diagrams.
1. To start off, go to the Quizlet Diagrams Showcase.
2. Look at items available in the popular row and then scroll down to the English Language
Learning row.


3. Click on one of the diagram icons.

• Teachers will see the following screen (other activities may appear here as well) students do not
see the Live activity icon.

Unlike normal Quizlet study sets, Quizlet Diagram learning objects only include 5 activities.
• Learn
• Write
• Test
• Match
• Quizlet Live
1 COMPLETING AN ACTIVITY
1. Open a Quizlet Diagram activity
2. Click in the Learn icon

3. There are different kinds of Learn activities based on options selected by the teacher. These include:
• Answering with a term, definition or location (hot spot)
• Using questions type from written, flashcards or multiple-choice questions
• Including audio or muting audio

4. In this example, the term is shown in the top left corner of the diagram. The student must click on
the corresponding image area.

5. Students must complete the diagram ensuring each question type and for each item is answered
correctly.

6. During the activity, students are motivated by prompts and hints from Quizlet.

7. At the end of the activity, the results are provided.

8. Click in the Write icon

9. For each prompt, students locate the highlighted picture area & type on the Type the Term line.

10. After feedback is provided, click on the Back link to continue
11. Click on the Test link
12. A test can have Written, Multiple Choice or True/False questions.
Note: tests can also be printed.

13. After feedback is provided, click on the Back link to continue

14. Click on the Match link

15. Click on the highlighted word from the right column onto the matching part of the picture.

16. At the end of the activity, click on the Back link

17. Click on the Live link

18. Play a game of Quizlet Live with your classmates.
2 CREATING A QUIZLET DIAGRAM ACTIVITY
1. Click on the Create icon
2. Click on the Study set icon
3. In the Title field, type a title

4. Choose the visibility and editing settings near the top of the screen.

5. Click on the Add and label a diagram link choose an image.





6. Locate the file, click on the Open button

7. The diagram editor appears with the picture in the centre.


8. In the toolbar, click on the Add a point icon.
Note: You can also choose the rectangle or shape tools to designate key points on
the diagram.

9. Click on a point in the image that clearly relates to a vocabulary item.

10. Type the keyword in the Term field

11. Click on the + Add definition link.




12. Click on the Choose language link.
13. Select English.
14. Type a definition in the Definition field.
15. Click on the Add button.
16. The point becomes a circle on the image.



17. Repeat steps 8 to 16 for the remaining items on the image.
18. Upon completion of all terms, scroll downward to check if terms and definitions are error free.










19. If everything looks acceptable, click Create.
20. The activity is ready for students
