Cyber crime Cybercrime refers to illegal activities that involve computers, networks, or digital devices. It uses a broad range of criminal acts where the internet or other digital tools play a crucial role. These crimes can be used against individuals, organizations, or even nations, and they can vary in scope, scale, and impact.

Cyber Security Cybersecurity refers to the practice of protecting systems, networks, devices, and data from digital attacks, theft, damage, or unauthorized access. As cyber threats evolve in difficulty, cybersecurity has become a critical focus area for people, businesses, and governments to safeguard sensitive information and ensure the safety and availability of systems.

How to be safe from cybercrimes? To stay safe from cybercrimes, use strong, unique passwords and enable multi-factor authentication on all accounts. Keep your software, operating systems, and antivirus programs updated regularly to protect against vulnerabilities. Be cautious with emails and links—avoid clicking on unknown attachments or links to prevent phishing and malware attacks.

IDENTITY THEFT Identity theft is a type of cybercrime where a criminal illegally obtains and uses someone else's personal information, such as Social Security numbers, credit card details, or bank account information, to commit fraud or other crimes.
