2. EP- Boy The EP I have chosen is Boy by Luke Hemmings which was released on April 26th, 2024. The EP is made up of 7 songs making up for a total time of 24 minutes and 2 seconds. An EP is usually made of up enough tracks to be more then a single but less than an album. EP’s usually have to have a play time of under 30 minutes as well. Rewak, M. (2024, June 6). 3. LP- brat The LP I have chosen is brat by Charli xcx, which was released very recently on June 7th, 2024.. The back of the vinyl did not include a song list but the album does include 15 songs with a run time of 41 minutes and 30 seconds, which makes “brat” an LP. Source: Victrola. (2021, August 11). 4. Research Questions Does Dearborn Music offer consignment ro indie artists? Currently they do offer consignment to indie artists through their online and in -store purchases. How often do marketing reps visit from record labels? For the Farmington location we usually don’t get any reps from labels but our other location in Dearborn do about 5 times a year if we do RSD events or listening parties. *From Avery at Dearborn Music

5. Events The only event/promo they have going on is their sale for Fathers day and Graduates called “Dads & Grads Sale” which includes a 15% off new media discount at the store.

6. Exclusives The RSD exclusive I found was an album by Daniel Lanois titled “Heavy Sun” released back in 2021. The exclusive includes a blue variant of the vinyl.

7. Swag The store didn’t have any swag at the time but the clerk said they usually have stickers for guests to take home for free!

8. Promos The store didn’t have any promos at the time while I was there but they were playing Charli xcx’s albums as music promo for her new album “brat”

9. Reflection I would choose this shop to promote an artist’s new album at this shop and their sister shop in Dearborn, Michigan. The sister shop is a bit bigger and is more known then the Farmington location but both would be great for a album release party. Prior to the event I would also post on social media platforms about the event and also put up posters around the shops to bring in more people for the events.
