Deepfake and regulatory needs
DeepFake Creation and circulation of misinformation is assisted by AI. AI assisted synthetic media, for example DeepFake , which is a combination of ‘deep learning’ and ‘fake media’ creates fake contents and due to the widespread use of social platforms, this misinformation is circulated widely, harming the healthcare.
Regulatory needs The absence of standard guidelines for use of AI healthcare have led to vulnerability of health records being hacked. No regulations in India regarding AI related to healthcare There are some provisions that deal with AI: Information Technology Act, 2000 Personal Data Protection Bill, 2019 Indian Copyright Act, 1957
Regulatory needs A High-Level Expert Group on AI was established by the European Commission in April 2018 to promote the implementation of the AI plan. On 9 th Dec 2023, Parliament reached a provisional agreement with the Council on the AI act. By 2025 , expected to be formally adopted by both Parliament and Council to become EU law.
