EKOMIND
“Where Supply Meets Demand , Decisions Are Made”

INTRODUCTION

The Importance of Economic Understanding
New students need a strong foundation in economics to navigate the fast-changing
world of society, business, and technology.
BACKGROUND
Role of Microeconomic Principles
Concepts like demand, supply, pricing, and consumer behavior help explain market
dynamics and business decision-making.
Gap Between Theory and Practice
Many students struggle to apply microeconomic theory to real-world situations.
HMPSM’s Solution
EKOMIND is designed to bridge this gap through an educational and practical
approach to economics.

•Introduce basic microeconomic concepts like
demand and supply in a fun and practical way.
•Engage students through a hands-on market
game to understand how buyers and sellers
interact.
•Encourage ethical thinking and Christian values
in economic decision-making from the start of
their studies.
EVENT PURPOSE

INDICATOR OF SUCCESS
•Participants show better grasp of demand, supply, and
market dynamics through quizzes or reflections. (50%)
•Students join the market game enthusiastically, showing
curiosity, teamwork, and decision-making. (30%)
•Positive feedback from participants indicating that the
event helped them connect microeconomic principles
with real-life situations and Christian values. (20%)

PATTERN OF ACTS

NAME
EKOMIND is an abbreviation of Economics in Mind, reflecting the purpose of this
program to educate and equip students with basic economic knowledge and skills
to help them become wiser and smarter in understanding economic principles in
everyday life. Through this program, students are encouraged to develop a logical
and responsible economic mindset, enabling them to make rational and efficient
decisions from an early stage. Follows with a hands-on activity game called “Game of
Goods”, where participants take on the roles of buyers and sellers, experiencing
real-time market dynamics, price negotiations, and strategy-based transactions. The
theme, "Where Supply Meets Demand, Decisions Are Made,"  emphasizes the
importance of applying microeconomic concepts thoughtfully and practically.
Students will learn about individual decision-making, resource management, and
evaluating choices based on costs and benefits, supported by the right knowledge,
strategies, and clear long-term goals.
