This projct was apart of of my color theroy and innovation course
at my previous college, Saddleback College. My partner and I had to
creat a company and client profile that would suite the purpose of
this project, which was to desing a layout, color pallete, and recep-
tion area for our clients. The seperate parts of this project include
a mood board (pictured on the left) that showcased our inspiration
picture, pantone color palette, flooring, and funriture and light-
ing sources. We also were assigned to creating a color paletter from
the pantone lines, and present that in a layout that communicates
what color is used the most to least (pictured below). In addition to
the client profile, we wrote a problem analysis and design statemnt,
which stated our goals and solutions for the office space. A floor
plan was also designed to give a visual of how we want out desk, of-
fice, and recpetion area to be laid out. Lastly, we were tasked in
creating a visual of how the reception desk will look in sucess that
it reflects our design statement.
The design concept for the yoga studio aims to create a serene sanctuary
where individuals can escape the stresses of daily life and find relax-
ation and rejuvenation. Our desired outcomes include creating a tranquil
and welcoming environment that promotes mental and physical well-being,
and encouraging connections through shared practice. The design logic
focuses on using natural materials while bringing in some soft light-
ing to create a peaceful ambiance, and having some color with the calm-
ing color schemes. Additionally, the layout of our office will include
multiple spaces for different types of yoga practices and meditation,
as well as amenities such as a lounge area to give people the option of
having time to relax after finishing a yoga class. We incorporated pas-
tel pinks and warm neutrals to create a comforting and nurturing envi-
ronment, while soft blues and muted greens were used to evoke serenity
and balance, collectively enhancing the physiological effects of relax-
ation and calm in the yoga studio. This thoughtful color palette pro-
motes a tranquil atmosphere to promote stress reduction and mental clar-
ity.

This project gave us the opputunity to apply a given color relation-
ship to a chosen space. My partner and I were tasked with an analogous
color schme and we decided to design a blue bedroom

page Our color is sky blue and we chose to design a bedroom. Sky
blue is a light and airy shade of blue that resembles a
clear summer day. This shade of blue is uplifting, cheerful,
and has a sense of cleanliness. We were inspired by an east
coast cottage bedroom. This space is perfect for our color
because sky blue conveys peace and serenity, which is a per-
fect fit for creating a relaxing space. Natural light coming
through the windows allows sky blue to look very bright and
inviting. We also added some aspects of white and gray val-
ues to balance out the blues. The elements we chose for our
bedroom were line, shape/form, value, texture, space, and
color.
Client Profile:
texture: For this bedroom we played with two different
textures that really contrast each other. For the fur-
niture, lamp, and curtains, you have more a smooth and
glossy finish, while the linen, throw pillows, and rug
feels more rough and unfinished.
space: Throughout this room we wanted you to feel relaxed
and tranquil. To make this space feel open instead of
overcluttered we brought in different patterns like our
wall paper and pillows.
color: The color sky blue used to design this whole room,
portrays a calm colective place reminding you of the
beach. This color is a nice pastel, giving the room a
nice airy and bright feel.

Through this project I had to create a mood board and a color pallette
for a tech company’s office in Seattle. My work represents the brands
identity and the atmosphere they want.
page In the AGS tec office we designed it with a modern indus-
trial style. We wanted our space to feel professional, dark,
and moody. We used these darker colors to bring in comfort
and contrast. The dark navy and brown will compliment the
city lights and rainy weather. Blue is a color that brings
trust and security, so putting that in our office we want
our clients to feel they can trust our work. We also used
the color light gray in our rug and other decor to break
up some of the darkness and build some contrast. As well as
modern gold light fixtures to give the space a timeless and
refined deign. Walking into our office our clients will feel
impressed, at ease, and confident in the capabilities of the
business.
Client Profile:
Seattle, the location of the office, is encapsulated by
the pacific ocean and wooded mountains so we really wanted
the color scheme to play in with the environment. The dark
navy blue symbolizes the ocean and bay, while the warm dark
browns and leathers, represent the forest. We chose navy to
only accent the spaces and have the warm browns be the main
color so that the space has an overall sense of warmth,
since the area tends to be cloudy year round. We also in-
corporated a light gray into the color scheme to balance
out both of those hues.

page we chose to keep the interzone logo how it is and add
more of the interzone aesthetic. we did this by add-
ing art from their own newspaper that was done by lo-
cal artists and using a similar typography, “special
elite”. “LIVE MUSIC” is the main event and we wanted
to make sure it was emphasized by using a bold font
(horizon) and making the size large as well as adding
an orange shadow effect. we used a sticky note to cen-
tralize and hold most of the information to make it
easy to read. we specifically placed the coffee stain
to emphasize the 20% off promotion since it is tucked
in the corner. additionally, the coffee stain helps
communicate that interzone is a coffee house.

final choice:
first design second design
1) Our first design was hand drawn and a
quick sketch to visualize our plan and lay-
out.
2)We then took our design layout digital and
inputued our preliminary design choices such
as elementals, colors, and fonts.
3) For our final design, we went over our
second design and listed everything we don’t
like/like and made some changes in order to
come to our final choice that we were happy
with!
