A 29YEARS OLD FEMALE PATIENT
WAS ADMITTED IN THE HOSPITAL
WITH COMPLAINTS OF FEVER
SINCE 2 DAYS, VOMITING,
DIARRHEA WITH BLOODY STOOLS.
NO HYPERTENSION AND DIABETES
MELLITUS.
DIET: MIXED HISTORY OF PRESENT ILLNESS:
VOMITING, DIARRHEA WITH
BLOODY STOOL I.E., FOOD
POISONING.

About the Illness: If the food
poisoning was in the form of
vomiting predominant it’s more
likely a staphylococcus aureus
{ingestion of performed toxins}
And causes the symptoms like
stomach upset, vomiting,
diarrhea and sometimes diarrhea
with bloody stools, cramps fever.
Should avoid street foods, fast
foods and keep the diet healthy.

11. About the Medications: The
patient should directly
follow dose regimen.
1.PEPTOBISMOL TABLET:
This medication is used to
treat occasional stomach
upset, heart burn, nausea
and diarrhea.
It helps to slow the growth
of bacteria

2. LOPERAMIDE: Loperamide
is used to treat diarrhea. It
helps with short term
diarrhea.

4. ORAL REHYDRATION THERAPY:
IT IS USED TO TREAT MODERATE
DEHYDRATION. IT IS MADE OF
WATER, GLUCOSE, SODIUM AND
POTASSIUM.
THIS SOLUTION IS OFTEN USED
TO TREAT DEHYDRATION DUE TO
DIARRHEA AND VOMITING.
